Jesska's Story
For more than a decade, I dedicated my hands and my heart to helping others tell their stories through tattoos.
Every piece, every shade, every composition was a tribute to someone else's memory, someone else's dream & someone else's story.
Tattooing wasn’t just a craft to me.
It was a transformative act of translation, turning invisible emotions into something permanent and real.
It built me, and often broke me.
It taught me how powerful stories could be when etched into skin.
But somewhere along the way, I realized I had never truly stopped to tell my own, I had abandoned creating for myself, and I was left longing for something more.
Then a few years ago, my world shifted. I started a traumatic existance as my mother was diagnosed, battled and eventually - I lost my mother to cancer.
The kind of grief that rearranges you, permanently and one that scars your heart.
In the heavy silence that followed, I returned to painting, not as a hobby, but as survival. I painted themes of sorrow, loss, longing.
I painted the moments that words could not touch.
I painted light even when I felt surrounded by darkness. Through that, I remembered:
Art is not just about telling stories — it's about carrying hope.
It became clear that my journey wasn’t just about creating for others anymore.
It was about creating from within.
Today, I create art inspired by our family travels, the rawness of the Australian outback, the golden light of slow journeys, and the quiet strength found in healing.
Each piece is a memory stitched into canvas — not just for me, but for anyone who has loved, lost, and dared to hope again. These themes are repeated through my artwork whether a landscape or portrait.
When you collect my work, you’re not just buying a painting.
You're investing in your own resilience, your own memories, your own wild hope. This next chapter isn’t just about me finding my voice.
It’s about offering a canvas wide enough for yours, too.
Come walk these dusty trails and sit in the beauty with me.
Let’s find our way home.
